SPECIALTY SOUND AND VISION APPOINTED REGIONAL SALES REPRESENTATIVES FOR NORDOST

January 4, 2006 - Specialty Sound and Vision is pleased to announe that through our relationship with Audiophile Systems we have been appointed Regional Sales Represntatives for Nordost.

Nordost cable products are demonstrably and measureably superior to all other cables. While most designers view cables as tone controls or filters, all Nordost products are designed with one simple criteria: to deliver electrical performance which approaches perfection.

An important supplier of specialty cables to the medical industry (Nordost cables are routinely implanted during human brain and heart sugeries), Nordost's proprietary materials, manufacturing and measurement technologies are the most advanced in the audio industry.

Nordost has earned their pre-eminent position among cable manufacturers by employing these cutting-edge technologies in order to provide quicker signal transmission, wider bandwidth, lower inductance and capacitance, more consistent and reliable terminations, the highest degree of installation-friendliness and virtually unlimited product life. This is why, over the past decade, no super-premium brand of cable has been so consistently well-reviewed and the cable line that all others are judged against!

Although many of you know and admire Cary’s "Classic Series" tube gear and two-channel "Designer Series" amplifiers, preamplifiers and SACD Players, the company is quickly becoming a major player in the Home Theater market, as well. Happy 20th Birthday, Totem!!!

Seems hard to believe but this Wednesday, 26 September, will mark two decades of continuous production for Totem's legendary Model One Monitor Loudspeaker, not to mention the Twentieth Anniversary of Totem itself.  Twenty years ago, Vince Bruzzese ended his brilliant Academic Career (he was a professor at Montreal's McGill University) to found one of the most important companies in the history of Specialty Audio. Thanks to Vince's design genius and the Sales and Marketing expertise of Lucy Lentini (originally hired by Vince as a part time bookkeeper!), Totem has maintained double-digit sales growth year after year to become THE dominant force in high performance loudspeakers.

Like all Totem models, the original Model One has been subjected to continuous refinement by Vince. The current Model One Signature continues to define the State of the Art in small loudspeakers while a Limited, 20th Anniversary edition named "The One" will push the performance of this world renowned model to even loftier heights!

Please join us in wishing Vince, Lucy and everyone at Totem a Happy Twentieth Birthday! Thanks for making the world a better-sounding place!

"Straight Wire's New 'Silver System' is the best custom install product I've ever seen. …and we're willing to prove it!"

Anthony Chiarella, Principal, Specialty Sound and Vision

I've tried every custom cabling system out there and found significant problems with all of them. Whether they require expensive connectors and crimping tools (which always seem to get lost), offer low-reliability connections or yield poor performance, I've never seen a system I'd want in my own home.  Which makes the NEW "Silver System" from Straight Wire something special.
Featuring SW's proprietary "Push Prong" RCAs (Pat Pending), these connectors deliver an ultra reliable, high-quality termination in seconds, with no special tools! Simply expose ¼" of the center conductor, insert into the internally- grooved center pin, tighten the barrel and three prongs pierce the cables' outer jacket, simultaneously connecting ground as they strain-relieve the plug for the best field-termination available. And should you make a mistake, our RCAs are re-useable, thereby avoiding expensive waste that attends competitive "Compression-Fit" systems. (SW's "Push Prong" RCAs work with all mini RG59 cable conforming to Belden 1855 spec.)
Using a durable PVC outer jacket, our CL-rated cable components are just as impressive as our connectors. Unlike our competitors' small, stranded conductors, Straight Wire's solid-core, 23 Gauge center conductor is silver-plated for superior transmission speed and unprecedented 3-gigahertz bandwidth. In fact, this is the first and only CI cable to equal the performance of pre-terminated audiophile and videophile interconnects. Best of all, this single cable products excels in all audio, video and digital applications! Highly pliant and slippery, this wire's a cinch to pull through walls and conduit and works equally well when building racks.
We're so sure you'll think Straight Wire's New "Silver System" is the best custom cable available, we want you to try it for yourself. I'll send you a no sample kit including cable, connector and simple instructions with no obligation to purchase. Call today to experience the simplest, highest quality cabling system available for custom use!
